Cold feet

Cold feet—there's nothing so sure to make you feel miserable on a cold day.

If you're feeling the end-of-winter blues, here are our top recommendations for warming up your feet.

  1. Massaging your feet in warm oil.
  2. Investing in some warm socks or ugg boots.
  3. Exercise—there's nothing like it to make you feel warm.
  4. Drinking green tea—there's some evidence that it helps blood circulation.

Of course, there can be may medical reasons if you have chronic cold feet, including:

  • poor blood circulation
  • anaemia
  • chronic fatigue syndrome
  • diabetes
  • nerve damage, and
  • nutritional deficiencies.

See your doctor, particularly if your symptoms also include changes in skin color, numbness or tingling sensations, open sores or blisters, and tightened or hardened skin.
