Why your shoes need to fit correctly!

Just by making sure your shoes fit, you can avoid a whole list of ailments.

Plantar fasciitis

You may experience a deep ache or shooting pain in the heel if you have plantar fasciitis.

These can present as a swelling or deformity in the first joint of the big toe.

Can be caused by a range of reasons, but a friction blister is usually caused by tight shoes that create irritation because the foot is rubbing against the shoe.

This condition is when the ball of the foot becomes so inflamed that it can be unbearable to stand or walk.

Corns and calluses

These can be caused by continuous friction between the foot and the shoe, which can be avoided by wearing correctly fitting shoes.

Podiatrists can give you advice about your shoes. They'll be able to tell you if your current shoes fit correctly and give you recommendations if you need a fresh pair.
